Funeral services were held for Ricky Lynn Pompell, 44, of Rickman, TN. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 at the Rickman chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Rick died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born April 4, 1962, in Hagerstown, Md., to Carroll Lynn and Mary Jane ( Witner) Pompell of Hagerstown, Md. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Donald Connor, Sr. of Spring Creek Community outside Cookeville. Rick was employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Douglas Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Rickman.
In addition to his parents, his family includes wife, Teresa Pompell of Double Springs; daughters Kaci Pompell of Townsend, TN; and Carmen Pompell of Nashville, TN; two sons, Cody and Michael Pompell, of Nashville, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Linda Pompell of Cookeville, and Don and Dorothy Connor, or Rickman; three sisters, Lisa Allen of Livingston, Christina French of Lancaster, PA., and Teresa and Chris Bandon of Lexington, S.C., several nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by two nephews, Matthew and Curtis Pompell, two cousins, Breeanne and Beeonna Lamson, and his father, Carroll Lynn Pompell.
