Sidney Maurice "Curly" Pindell, of Junction, IL., passed away March 15, 2007 at his residence after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family. Maurice was born in Corydon, IN., on Oct. 9, 1928 to Burrell S. and Virgie Lou Carroll Pindell. On Dec. 14, 1954, he and Tressie Crider were married. He was a longtime employee of Nash-Rambler Factory in Gary, IN., and after retiring worked for area farmers. "Curly" was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War Conflict. He was also a member of Eldorado VFW, Shawneetown, IL. American Legion Post 585 and the Equality Masonic Lodge #2, a 51 year Mason. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Tressie Pindell of Junction, IL; son, Dennis (Cindy) of Norris City; son, Michael (Tammy) of Macedonia; three daughters, Cathy Back of Shawneetown, Luwanna (Carl) LaCrosse of Harrisburg, and Geana (Tom Wayne) Pinkston of Junction and 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great step great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother Keith (MarilynTravers) Pindell of Junction, and a sister Doris Yeida (Paul Collier) of Mt Vernon, IN. and several nieces and nephews and longtime friends. He was preceded in death by parents and granddaughter, Tara Jolene Pindell. Masonic Services were held Mar 16th at the Vickey Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown, IL. and funeral services Mar 17th with the Rev. Grover Leonberger officiating. Burial was at Palestine IL.
